Harris Riverfront Playstructure Dedication Tuesday

Huntington’s Mayor,  Steve Williams, will dedicate a new playground recently constructed at the City’s Harris Riverfront Park, on Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 10:30 am

The new play structure was manufactured by Gametime, a PlayCore company and installation was overseen by the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District after they generated requests for proposals from numerous playground manufacturers. Gametime was selected as the vendor, based on the lowest cost and best equipment provided. The playground was designed with a “waterfront” theme, to include a ship’s bow climber, and a colorful fish climber behind the ship.

Total cost for the playground was $ 49,999.00.

Harris Riverfront Park is owned by the City of Huntington, and managed and maintained under contract by the Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District.

The Greater Huntington Park & Recreation District is proud to partner with the City of Huntington to continue to move Huntington forward in our parks, playgrounds, events and activities.

Harris Riverfront Park is open from 8 am until dark every day, is pet –friendly, and has free public access Wi-Fi.
