Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Hughes Branch Road in Salt Rock

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (June 19, 2014) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for customers on Hughes Branch Road in the company’s Salt Rock district. The advisory was issued yesterday for approximately 70 customers between 4271 Hughes Branch Road and 4666 Hughes Branch Road following a water main break, which crews have repaired.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption. Customers will be notified via media.
