Spring Valley Scrapes By HHS 33-29 in Last Minute Thriller

The Highlanders showing improvement took the early lead and were up 20-7 at the half. The Highlanders looked as if they might win this one. With 8:06 left in the game Huntington led 29-14.
With those eight minutes left Spring Valley came back scoring 19 points in the fourth quarter with their passing attack and some good defense holding off the Highlanders. It was a tense fourth quarter for both teams and fans.
With a little over one minute left in the game Spring Valley scored to take a 33-29 lead. That left only 1:01 left in the game to see if Huntington could come back. The Spring Valley defense held off the threat.
It was a great victory for Spring Valley and a heart breaking loss for Huntington High. A good crowd was in attendance and most stayed to the end to see the exciting finish.
