Pope stuns family, stops car outside home to kiss, bless disabled woman

How would you feel if Pope Francis himself stopped right in front of your house, and got out of his car to come over and bless one of your relatives?

One family in Italy got to experience this first-hand last week. While on his way from giving a talk at Cassano allo Jonio in Calbria, Southern Italy, the pope spotted some signs held by family members asking him to stop. The signs reportedly read, "Please Pope stop here to see an angel who has been waiting for you", and "Please come and bless little Roberta."

The pope did just that, stopping the car and getting out to kiss and bless the woman as family members and neighbors looked on. According to news.va, Roberta is disabled and reliant on a machine to breathe. Her family expressed their joy at the unexpected visit. “I still can't believe it, thank you Holy Father...I thank the Pope for having given us a moment of great joy,” her sister, Pamela said.
