Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted for Approximately 60 Residential Customers on 12th Avenue in Huntington

(August 2, 2014) – West Virginia American Water has lifted the precautionary boil water advisory for approximately 60 residential customers on the 100, 200, 300 and 400 blocks of 12th Avenue in Huntington.  The advisory was issued on August 1 following a water main break along the 300 block of 12th Avenue, which West Virginia American Water crews have repaired. Customers will be notified via media.

Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards. Therefore, there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption.
