Marshall University Student Affairs and The Campus Activity Board presents singer-songwriter and American Idol winner, Phillip Phillips, who will rock the stage of the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center on Monday, November 3, 2014, at 7:30 PM. In 2012, Phillip Phillips was crowned winner of the eleventh season of American Idol. His breakthrough single "Home" reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, spent 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts, and it was certified quintuple-platinum in the United States. His follow-up single "Gone, Gone, Gone" reached No. 1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts for multiple weeks, and it was certified platinum. Phillips’s recently released sophomore album “Behind The Light” finds the 23-year-old Georgia native offering up songs marked by a more ambitious and refined sensibility, but still powered by the earthy authenticity that’s long shaped his sound.
