HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- The Thundering Herd Men’s Soccer team (0-2-2) will head to Indiana for two weekend games in the ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic, hosted by the University of Evansville.

Marshall will play the Bradley Braves for the first time in program history, while the team has a 1-0 record against Evansville, after a 2-0 win in 2012. Friday’s game will be the first neutral site game for Marshall, while the Sunday game against Evansville will be the team’s first away game, after the Oakland match was cancelled due to weather.

Bradley is 1-4 in 2014 and has lost its last four games. The team won its opening game of the season against San Jose State, 3-2 in two overtime periods.

Junior Defender Grant Bell and Junior midfielder Andrew Brown lead the Braves in points and goals with 3 goals and 1 assist.

Bradley finished last season with a 14-7-2 record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.

Evansville is 1-3-1 on the season and 1-1 at home. Its only win on the season is a 5-0 win over Belmont on Sept. 5. The team has dropped its last two games, with a 0-2 loss against Lipscomb and a 3-1 loss against Saint Louis. Senior defender Charlie Macias leads the team with four goals this season.

Head coach Bob Gray on the weekend games:

“We are looking forward to getting right back out there after a poor performance Monday against Appalachian State. We are playing two really good teams. It’s a nice tournament that is probably one of the longer running tournaments in the country.”

“We’re going to try to change some things up and see if it works, because we have to find a way to start scoring goals. We are going to try pushing numbers forward and see if that doesn’t solve some of our problems.”
