A Huntington woman was arrested Tuesday and charged in connection with a large amount of heroin that was found at a hotel in downtown Huntington last week.

Huntington Police Department patrol officers, an HPD K-9 unit and members of the Huntington Violent Crime Federal Drug Task Force arrested Courtney Crabtree at her residence on Short Street and charged her with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a misdemeanor count of maintaining a dwelling for drug activity and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Another individual, Kody McQueen, also was arrested at the residence for unrelated outstanding warrants.

Crabtree was in possession of heroin and marijuana at the time of her arrest. The other felony count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver stems from 116 grams of heroin and digital scales that were found by employees at the Pullman Plaza Hotel on Sept. 19. The heroin had an estimated street value of $20,000.

More arrests are anticipated from the discovery of heroin at the Pullman Plaza Hotel.
