HAVE YOU HERD?
For the second consecutive game, Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) allowed zero goals for Marshall, however, the Thundering Herd’s match with UTEP ended in a scoreless draw after two overtimes on Sunday at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex. The Herd outshot its opponent for the second straight game (25-8), and led 8-1 in corner kicks. SeniorKristine Culicerto (Charlotte, N.C) topped the Marshall’s shot chart with five, and classmate Alyssa Cathey (Fort Collins, Colo.) put three of her four strikes on target.

THANK YOU, CLASS OF 2014
On Sunday, six senior members of the Herd will take the pitch at Veterans Memorial Soccer Complex for the final time: Berrie Aitcheson-Walker (London, England), Alyssa Cathey (Fort Collins, Colo.), Kristine Culicerto (Charlotte, N.C.), Myka DeMarco (Dallas), Cece Scott (Radford, Va.) and Chelsea Stalter (Strongsville, Ohio). As a class, these six Herd players have combined for 26 goals, seven game-winners, seven assists, 206 shots and 95 shots on goal.

QUANTITY VS. QUALITY
While the Herd’s high-powered offense has outshot its last two opponents by a combined 42-10, Marshall has found the net only twice in its last 59 attempts.

THE CULICERTO CONNECTION
The Herd has won all but one game when a Culicerto sister scores a goal in 2014 (4-1-2), with the only loss of 2-1 coming at Miami (Ohio) (Sept. 19). Senior Kristine leads Marshall with six goals, 13 points and 18 shots on goal, while junior Kelly claims team-highs of 42 shots and three game-winners.

KEEPING UP WITH KISH
Herd keeper Lizzie Kish (Boyertown, Pa.) notched her 11th and 12th career shutouts last weekend against UTSA, 1-0 (Oct. 10), and UTEP (Oct. 12), 0-0. Her 12 blank sheets are second most all-time in a Marshall career.
