UP CLOSE: Preparing to "Jump" and Taking the "Plunge" on Bridge Day Images

West Virginia and Fayette County last weekend celebrated the annual Bridge Day at the New River Gorge, where daring adventurers have the opportunity to dive from the iconic structure into the gorge.

Photographer Misty Pauley from Huntington captured some of the excitement. You will notice that she has caught the emotions of individuals preparing to jump as well as those below who have bravely plunged down to the New River.
