Sir Ronald Sanders Awarded Honorary Doctorate by University of The West Indies

Sir Ronald Sanders, Huntington News Network contributor, a former Caribbean diplomat, and a Senior Fellow at London University,  was awarded an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Letters (D.Litt)   by the University of the West Indies
at the St Augustine Campus in Trinidad on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014.
Born in Guyana in 1948, Sanders began his career as a broadcast journalist at the age of 21. He rose through the ranks as a program director and general manager of the Guyana Broadcasting Service.
Sanders has twice served as high commissioner for Antigua and Barbuda to the UK; as ambassador to the EU; Ambassador to the World Trade Organization, as well as Deputy Permanent representative to the UN for Antigua and Barbuda.
