CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gov. Cecil H. Underwood today announced the appointments and reappointments to various boards and commissions:

BERKELEY COUNTY
Massage Therapy Licensure Board: Dr. Sylvia Santos Cruz of Hedgesville to a term ending June 30, 2002. She succeeds Dr. J.A. Burgess.

CABELL COUNTY
Developmental Disabilities Council: James Farrar of Huntington to a term ending June 30, 2004. He represents persons with a developmental disability. This is a new appointment.

Governor's Mansion Advisory Committee: Mary Witten Neal Wiseman to a term ending June 30, 2004. She represents the general public and succeeds Edwin Sweeney.

Public Port Authority: Dr. Thomas F. Scott of Huntington to a term ending June 30, 2001.  He is a Republican from the 3rd Congressional District and succeeds Debbie Phillips.

Support Enforcement Commission: Dr. Sam Dameron of Huntington to a term ending June 30, 2002. He succeeds Ron Stone.

FAYETTE COUNTY
Developmental Disabilities Council: Kelly P. Kirk of Oak Hill to a term ending June 30, 2004. She represents parents of a child with a developmental disability. This is a new appointment.

GILMER COUNTY

Oil and Gas Inspectors Examining Board: Robert Radabaugh of Sand Fork to a term ending June 30, 2006. He represents independent oil and gas operators and succeeds Carl Morris.

GRANT COUNTY

Commission on the Arts: Addie M. Ours of Petersburg to a term ending June 30, 2003.  She is a Republican and succeeds Calvert Armbrecht.

GREENBRIER COUNTY

Forest Management Review Commission: Betty D. Crookshanks of Rupert to a term ending March 14, 2001. She represents the public and succeeds Sarah Lee Neal.

Public Port Authority: Ralph Williams of Rainelle to a term ending June 30, 2002. He is a Democrat from the 3rd Congressional District and succeeds Dan Smirl.

HARRISON COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Ernest Matthews of Clarksburg to a term ending June 30, 2004. He succeeds Jon Arnett.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Robert Boylan and Jo Ellen Rumpler of Clarksburg each to a term ending March 31, 2002. Boylan is a Democrat from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds Robert R. Mays Jr; Rumpler is an Independent from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds David L. Johnson.

JACKSON COUNTY

Public Transit Advisory Council: Jim Waybright of Ripley to a term ending March 31, 2002. He is a Republican from the 2nd Congressional District and succeeds Robert Graham.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

Higher Education Interim Governing Board: Jane K. Peters of Shenandoah Junction to a term ending June 30, 2001. She is a Republican from the 2nd Congressional District and succeeds James H. "Buck" Harless.

KANAWHA COUNTY

Commission on the Arts: Callen J. McJunkin of Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2003. She is a Democrat and succeeds Elizabeth Spurlock.

Developmental Disabilities Council: Ophelia Coats of Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2004. She succeeds Frankie Jenkins.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Virginia Mullins of St. Albans to a term ending March 31, 2002. She is a Republican from the 2nd Congressional District and succeeds Robert Perelman.

Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety: Robert F. Miller of Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2006. He is a Democrat and succeeds Barbara Karen Bailey.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Mark Felton of South Charleston to a term ending March 31, 2002. He is a Democrat from the 2nd Congressional District and succeeds SoJuana M. Ellis.

LINCOLN COUNTY

Massage Therapy Licensure Board: Marsha Starr of Hamlin to a term ending June 30, 2002. She is a lay member and succeeds Linda Harrington.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Julia Barrett of Hamlin to a term ending March 31, 2002.  She is a Democrat from the 3rd Congressional District and succeeds Rosalia Viola.

LOGAN COUNTY

Support Enforcement Commission: Judy McCormick of Logan to a term ending June 30, 2003. She succeeds Allen Toothman.

MARION COUNTY

Fairmont State College Board of Advisors:  James R. "Dick" Martin of Fairmont to a term ending June 30, 2001. He is a Republican and succeeds James O. Doyle Sr.

MARSHALL COUNTY

Solid Waste Management Board: Alice Jo Buzzard of Cameron to a term ending June 30, 2001. She is a Republican from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds Mark Nesselroad.

MINGO COUNTY

Solid Waste Management Board: Tim Blankenship of Gilbert to a term ending June 30, 2005. He is a Democrat from the 3rd Congressional District and succeeds Joyce Manyik.

MONONGALIA COUNTY

Fairmont State College Board of Advisors: Dr. Michael Vetere of Morgantown to a term ending June 30, 2001. He is a Democrat and succeeds Pamela D. Cain.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Jenny Dinsmore of Morgantown to a term ending March 31, 2002. She is a Republican from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds Laura Sevy.

NICHOLAS COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Paula Hickman of Summersville to a term ending June 30, 2004. She represents persons with a developmental disability. This is a new appointment.

RALEIGH COUNTY

Commission on the Arts: Susan Stevenson Landis of Daniels to a term ending June 30, 2002. She is a Republican and succeeds David Beeman.

Public Transit Advisory Council: Charles Weatherford of Beckley to a term ending March 31, 2002. He is a Democrat from the 3rd Congressional District and succeeds C. Tom Garten.

TAYLOR COUNTY

Parole Board: Frederick Rex Bumgardner of Flemington to a term ending June 30, 2003.  He is a Republican from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds F. Douglas Stump.

UPSHUR COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Andrea Workman of Buckhannon to a term ending June 30, 2004. She succeeds Aaron Brown.

WIRT COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Tim Derico of Elizabeth to a term ending June 30, 2004. He is a member at large and succeeds Brenda Albright.

WOOD COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Vijay Shaw of Vienna to a term ending June 30, 2004. He represents parents of a child with a developmental disability. This is a new appointment.

United Health System Inc.: R. Bruce White of Parkersburg to a term ending October 15, 2004. He is from the 1st Congressional District and succeeds Ben Hayes.

WYOMING COUNTY

Support Enforcement Commission: Sante Boninsegna Jr. of Pineville to a term ending June 30, 2003. He succeeds Rebecca M. Bell.

Commission on the Arts: Kay Stout of Martinsburg to a term ending June 30, 2003. She is a Democrat.

Developmental Disabilities Council: Richard Merryman of Falling Waters to a term ending June 30, 2004.

Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety: Gregory Ahalt of Martinsburg to a term ending June 30, 2006. He is a Republican.

CABELL COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Elizabeth Nester of Culloden to a term ending June 30, 2004.

GRANT COUNTY

Public Transit Advisory Council: J. Douglas Carter of Petersburg to a term ending March 31, 2002. He is a Democrat from the 1st Congressional District.

GREENBRIER COUNTY

Commission for National and Community Service: Richard Schmidt of Lewisburg to a term ending June 30, 2003. He is a Republican.

Commission on the Arts: Miriam Knight of Lewisburg to a term ending June 30, 2003.  She is a Democrat.

HAMPSHIRE COUNTY

Developmental Disabilities Council: Robin Ayers of Romney to a term ending June 30, 2004.

HANCOCK COUNTY

Oil and Gas Conservation Commission: Michael Sinicropi of Weirton to a term ending July 27, 2006.

KANAWHA COUNTY

Commission for National and Community Service: Paula Flaherty, Nancy Hillen and David Ice of Charleston each to a term ending June 30, 2003. Flaherty and Ice are Democrats and Hillen is a Republican.

Commission on the Arts: Becky Ryan of Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2003. She is a Republican.

Council for Community and Economic Development: John F. McGee and Newton Thomas of Charleston each to a term ending June 30, 2004. McGee is from the 2nd Congressional District and represents community or regional interests; Thomas is a member at large and was recommended by the Speaker of the House of Delegates.

Developmental Disabilities Council: Karen Davis of Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2004.

Public Employees Insurance Agency Finance Board: Joe Badgley of South Charleston to a term ending June 30, 2004. He is an Independent and represents the interests of education employees.

MERCER COUNTY

Water Development Authority: Ray Bragg of Bluefield to a term ending June 30, 2006. He is a Democrat.

MONONGALIA COUNTY

Council for Community and Economic Development: Scott Rotruck of Morgantown to a term ending June 30, 2004. He is from the 1st Congressional District and represents community or regional interests.

OHIO COUNTY

Commission for National and Community Service: Rebecca Sue Riggs of Wheeling to a term ending June 30, 2003. She is a Republican.

Commission on the Arts: Joan C. Stamp of Wheeling to a term ending June 30, 2003.  She is a Republican.

PRESTON COUNTY

Public Transit Advisory Council: Sidney Murphy of Kingwood to a term ending March 31, 2002. He is a Democrat from the 1st Congressional District.

RALEIGH COUNTY

Council for Community and Economic Development: Jack R. Phillips of Beckley to a term ending June 30, 2004. He is from the 3rd Congressional District and represents community or regional interests.

UPSHUR COUNTY

Commission for National and Community Service: Linda Wellings of Buckhannon to a term ending June 30, 2003. She is a Democrat.

WAYNE COUNTY

Public Transit Advisory Council: Rose Meredith of Wayne to a term ending March 31, 2002. She is a Democrat from the 3rd Congressional District.

WOOD COUNTY

Commission for National and Community Service: Barbara Fish of Parkersburg and Trudy Seita of Vienna each to a term ending June 30, 2003. Fish and Seita are Republicans.

Developmental Disabilities Council: Kevin Smith of Vienna and Tommy Davis of Parkersburg each to a term ending June 30, 2004.
