Charleston, WV (HNN) – Last year, Huntington’s Ryan Hardiman won the Symphony Idol contest to perform with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. He’ll do just that Friday, July 4, at 8:30 p.m. in Haddad Riverfront Park on the levee in downtown Charleston. Fireworks follow.

Hardiman will be performing “I Need to Know” and “This is the Moment” (from Jekyll & Hyde), “Music of the Night” (from “Phantom of the Opera") and “Remember When It Rained" (a Josh Groban lyric).

The free concert includes a salute to veterans, favorite movie music by John Williams, and a medley of patriotic favorites. Visit: http://www.wvsymphony.org.

Hardiman said, “I’m excited about Friday’s concert. If you are planning to come to one of the three I’m doing with the WVSO, this will be your last chance close to home… the last one is in Beckley on Labor Day.”

Directions: I-64 to Charleston, take Virginia Street Exit, (Turn right onto Virginia St.) and go straight just a few blocks to Capitol Street. Haddad Riverfront Park is one block to the right once you reach Capitol Street.
