Huntington, WV (HNN) -- When “All Together Now” lights up digital screens tonight, Monday, Oct. 20, you will have, perhaps, unwittingly, have entered a quasi-Big Top. Cirque du Soleil (Circus of the Sun) reinvented The Beatles music into a synthesis of circus styles from around the world with its own central theme and storyline.

Drawing audiences into the performance through continuous live music, “Love” evolved from a chance personal friendship between the late George Harrison and Cirque founder Guy Laliberté, who met at an auto race. Utilizing timeless original recordings to create a new soundscape, the show features panoramic sound and visuals against a circus backdrop. Before his death, Harrison saw how a blend of Cirque’s artistry with the Beatles’ songs could be fused into an original production.

It’s called “Love.” But thie show does not tour. It only plays at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The documentary on screen at participating digital cinemas unveils a behind the scenes look at how the spirit and passion of the beloved rock group took on a unique, intimate and vivid entertainment experience.

Adrian Wills , director, recorded early meetings of the creative teams from Apple Corps and Cirque, including contributions from Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Star, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison. They authorized a 90 minute audio adventure created at the Abbey Road Studios in London; the visual ideas were formulated in Montreal.

Early clips of the production’s earliest phases were filmed as were the first rehearsals in Las Vegas.

According to a release on The Beatles.com site, the creation wasn’t all smooth sailing. The documentary depicts some of the disagreements that took place about how some of the songs would be portrayed visually. Such creative differences illustrate the love and passion of all participants in bringing the most vibrant show to the Vegas Strip.

As for the documentary, Variety, the show business news “Bible,” has one word: AWESOME. Having numerous film festival screenings, “All Together Now” sold out on its opening night at the Silverdocs Festival in Washington, D.C. The Washington Post critic wrote the film “cuts into the heart of Love.”

'Seeing this documentary on the big screen will truly be a moving experience for the viewer as they witness the creation of the show LOVE,' says director Adrian Wills. 'The digital cinema projection and amazing 5.1 sound allow us to envelop the audience in the grandiose visual world of Cirque du Soleil and legendary music of The Beatles.'

“All Together Now” shows at 7 p.m. at Marquee Cinemas and for three showings each at Park Place Stadium Cinemas (Charleston, 5:25-7:25-9:25) and Fountain Place Cinemas (Logan, 5:00-7:00-9:00). For tickets visit: http://www.marqueecinemas.com or http://www.ourshowtimes.com.
