Berg originally hails from Chicago, where she worked extensively after receiving a degree in Theatre Performance and Television/Video Communications from Bradley University, Peoria, IL. At Bradley, she received 3 Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship nominations and studied abroad in London, England. While in the Windy City, Robyn taught acting, dancing and singing for companies such as Greenlight Performing Company, Appletree Theatre, Aurorarts Arts Alliance, Pegasus Players Theatre and others. On the Chicago stage, Robyn played a variety of roles, including Nerissa in The Merchant of Venice and a one-year stint as the title role in the musical Cinderella.

Next, Berg spent a summer directing multiple shows and teaching at Ballibay Fine Arts Camp in Pennsylvania. She then moved to New York City and delved into more classical acting work, playing Olivia in Twelfth Night and Lady Macduff in Macbeth. Meanwhile she continued to pursue her passion for teaching by working with Brooklyn’s Marquis Studios and directed a world premiere called Shhh! which was recently published with her name and cast credits. Berg then spent another summer on the road directing an ensemble created, original production entitled Hamlite: Half the Length, Half the Verse, Double the Laughs for Windsor Mountain in New Hampshire. She and 13 International Teens toured the show as “The New England Traveling Minstrels” playing venues such as Boston’s Faneuil Hall during the Democratic National Convention and at The Bread and Puppet Theatre in Vermont.

In 2005, Miss Berg was invited to join the Master of Fine Arts in Acting Program at the University of Florida. Here, she had leading roles performing in The Cherry Orchard, The Man of Mode (which earned her another Irene Ryan), The Exonerated and Lysistrata (with which she toured Greece). Robyn also worked with The Hippodrome State Theatre, a professional theatre in Gainesville, FL multiple times where one of her most memorable roles was Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol—a role she played for two consecutive years. While in Flordia, she performed in a variety of commercials, infomercials and films in the Gainesville, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville markets.

Upon graduating with her Master’s Degree, Miss Berg returned to New York City to continue acting, directing and teaching. She recently played Lady Montague in Romeo & Juliet and Teresa Salieri (opposite Tony nominated Broadway legend Robert Cuccioli who played the lead role in Jekyll & Hyde) in Amadeus at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Her most recent directing project involved 8 short plays for the Madison Young Playwrights Festival at The Playwrights Theatre. For the last year, she has taught Sociodrama and Creative Drama for IDEAS Drama in Brooklyn. Miss Berg will arrive in Logan next week to prepare for auditions.
