Ashland, KY ((HNN) - "First Responders," was the theme of the Independence Day Parade held in Ashland on Monday evening, July 4, 2005. The event honored policemen, firemen and paramedics that respond to emergencies.

A huge American Flag led off the parade gong through the streets of Ashland.
Police cars, fire trucks, pageant winners, antique cars, motorcycles, civic groups, and Shriners were the main elements of this parade that traveled through the Ashland streets with American Flags in abundance
