Horror, Sci-Fi Short Films Wanted for Showcase

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Have you taken the creative plunge and produced a fantasy, horror or science fiction film 15 minutes or less in length?
Magic Makers invites you to enter their first "Spirit of Halloween Short film Showcase." Unlike a film festival, the best entries will be shown on a sponsored television broadcast, which even in a small market reaches more viewers than screenings at a festival.
The best films will be determined, not by judges, but by audience votes cast on e-mail ballots or by snail mail. Winners will receive trophies and prizes, which will be announced at a later date.
The rules for submissions are simple. All entries must be no longer than 15 minutes in length. Story genres accepted are horror, science fiction, or fantasy. Films may be live action, animated, or experimental. Unfinished works are also eligible. Stories and characters must be original or an adaptation of a work in the public domain. Entrants must secure rights for music contained within the production.
Entry deadline is Sept. 30, 2005. For more information e-mail Richard Bartram at shortfilms@magicmakers.com, call (304) 525-5333 or visit http://www.magicmakers.com/film.html
The competition welcomes all age groups. There is no entry fee.
