Tickets Still Available for Brenda Lee in Kentucky Music Trail Series
By HNN Staff
Ashland, KY (HNN) - Tickets are still available at the Paramount Arts Center here for the Saturday, July 23 performance of Brenda Lee, "Little Miss Dynamite." She appears as part of this year's Kentucky Music Trail series.
Brenda Lee first hit the charts in 1957, at the age of 13, with her third
release, "One Step At A Time." Her next single, "Dynamite," gave her the
nickname of "Little Miss Dynamite" because of her explosive stage presence and
incredible voice.
She has won numerous music awards and has been nominated
four times for the Grammy, and with over 100 million in record sales, she has
sold more recordings than any other woman. She also has more double-sided hits
and has charted in more categories, including Pop, Rock, Easy Listening and
Country, than any other female artist.
Her hits include "Sweet Nothin's,"
"Emotions," "Break It To Me Gently," "Jambalaya," " Losing You," "Johnny One
Time," "Fool #1," and a host of others. Her celebrated hit "I'm Sorry" has sold
in excess of 15 million copies! In 1958, Brenda released "Rockin' Around The
Christmas Tree," and it is now a standard and #4 in the Top 10 of Christmas
songs.
