Ashland/Huntington Joint Marketing Effort Announced
by HNN Staff
Washington, D.C. (HNN) — The Ashland Alliance and the Huntington Area Development Council (HADCO) announced Feb. 10, 2005 that they would work together in partnership to market the Ashland and Huntington area to attract new business to the region.
The two private economic development organizations will over the coming year jointly meet one on one with the key site location consultants based in Chicago and New York to present the common advantages of the two communities. Site location consultants represent a large percentage of the facility locations that are made in the US and around the world.
The Ashland Alliance and HADCO also plan on participating together in the National Manufacturing Trade Show that will take place in Chicago in March 2005.
Private leaders from both organizations have been meeting informally over the last two years to discuss common issues between the Huntington and Ashland area. These initial marketing efforts are a result of these discussions and represent the first steps in a joint marketing effort.
