The concert was significant because it starts a series of entertainers scheduled to perform outdoors on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. under the pavilion at Pullman Square running through August 18, 2005. Replay performs next week.
The concert series was scheduled to start last week, but cancelled because of rain. Rumbles of thunder and threats or rain were in the area, but the concert went on with no weather problems with the sun shining on Pullman Square.
A lot of people were enjoying the jazz music from the outstanding musician Bob Thompson and his band. Many were enjoying coffee from Starbuck's or eating a meal being served outside. Children were playing near the fountain and dancing to the music.
The music was attracting a lot of attention from motorists and those walking by. As the evening progressed more people stopped by and most of the seats around the fountain were taken as they listed to the jazz music.
