Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 the “zombies” began invading the Java Joint for a planned walk down Fourth Avenue to the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the downtown Cinema Theatre.

While a band played in the front portion, members of the “shadow cast” of RHPS applied make up and painted faces of volunteers waiting to terrorize the streets of Huntington. At least one “zombie” appeared to be quite hungry having already grabbed an arm.

Eager zombies appeared ready to grab a little flesh, zap to the Time Warp, and participate in a little P.D.A. for onlookers.

Most of the individuals at the Java had cameras and smiling faces. David Driskell, cast leader of DownHome Decadence stood on a chair and bellowed that “we need more zombies” to get in make up.

HNN has a photo gallery of the preparations at Java and a video stream will be posted Saturday, October 14, after editing.

Rocky Horror Picture Show runs every Friday night at the Cinema. Admission $3.00.
