19th Annual Multi-Cultural Festival Draws Crowd to Ritter Park
Despite sweltering temperatures, hundreds turned out

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Huntington's 19th Annual Multi-Cultural Festival was Saturday at Ritter Park. It brought many types of entertainment and vendors from many cities in West Virginia and surrounding states, to Huntington's beautiful green space.
The entertainment ranged from gospel to blues and a variety of dancing styles were performed. Many food and craft vendors were on hand offering a variety of goodies to eat. There were also fun things for children to do .
The Sweet Adelines started off the entertainment, followed by God's Little G's, Corey Laney, Dancer's Choice, Those Smith Boy's, Dancing with Gayle Riggs, Buffalo Soldier and Blue, International Folklanders, The Blues Brothers, International Folklanders, ECI Dancers and the Harmonica Club.
Ballroom dancing and dances from many countries, including Ireland and Scotland, were performed. The International Folklanders, said it was the hottest conditions in which they had ever performed. They held up well in their colorful costumes, performing dances from around the world.
The "Blues Brothers" act was popular with the crowd. They performed last year at the festival and returned this year for a longer show.
The Union Missionary Baptist Church from Chesapeake, Ohio was saving people from the heat with their free offering of cold water. It was a popular place to go.
