Special to Huntingtonnews.net

The Cabell County Public Library will host a ground-breaking ceremony for the new Salt Rock Branch Library on April 2, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. The site is located across from the Salt Rock Elementary School and beside the Post Office on Madison Creek Road in Salt Rock. There will be a brief program and refreshments will be served following the ground-breaking. The public is invited.

A new 5000 square foot building is planned to replace the existing Branch Library which is located in the school in an area the size of two classrooms. The new facility will cost around $1,235,000 to build and equip and is expected to be ready for use by the beginning of 2009. Edward Tucker Architects, Inc. are the architects and CTB, Inc. are the contractors.

When completed, the new library will offer full service to the Salt Rock community with expanded hours, collections and staff.
