Huntington, WV (HNN) – Since May 5-9 is National Hospital Week, Magic 97.9 and JB’s Miller in the Morning will be assisting three area hospitals in the celebration.
On Tuesday, May 6, Miller will spin disco tunes for staff in the Cabell Huntington Hospital parking lot at 11 a.m. He will join them in a walk around the block as part of their Wellness program.
On Friday, May 9, Miller will be cleaning cafeteria tables from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Medical Center. You are welcome to stop by and say hello.
Earlier that morning, WOWK-TV’s Dee DeLancy will rekindle memories behind the Magic 97.9 mike. Dee has over 30 years radio and television experience; Miller has 28 years experience in the Huntington/Charleston market. Now, a news reporter at WOWK TV, Miller and DeLancy once worked together on the radio; in fact, a heated argument led to a little fisticuffs then.
DeLancy will be behind the Magic mike at 7:30 a.m. Friday May 9.
Finally, on Wednesday, May 14, JB attends an ice cream social at King’s Daughter’s Medical Center in Ashland. He will be a celebrity dipper from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the facilities Parkview Café.
