Ashland Community & Technical College set to honor graduates; award first ever Gussler Family Endowed Chair in Math and Sciences

Ashland, KY (HNN) — The Ashland Community and Technical College Commencement Ceremony will honor 400 graduates on Friday evening. The college will hold it’s graduation on Friday, May 9, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at the Paramount Arts Center.
Representative Geoff Davis will be the Commencement Speaker. A U. S. Representative, decorated military veteran and entrepreneur, Davis has become a distinguished leader in Congress during his brief stint in office.
The student speaker will be Marilyn Sargent, an Ashland resident who is graduating with two degrees, an Associate in Arts and an Associate in Science Degrees.
The college will also present the following honors: Distinguished Alumnus, Dr. C. Gorgon Gussler of Ashland, Special Recognition Award to Mrs. Dixie Gussler, of Ashland, Distinguished Service Awards to Robert Maher and to Guy Spriggs of both of Ashland.
The college will also award the first ever Gussler Family Endowed Chair in Math and Science.
The ceremony is free and open to the public.
