Huntington Elks Lodge Honor Flag on Flag Day

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- The Huntington Elks Lodge #313 B.P.O.E. presented their Flag Day Service at Pullman Square on Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2008 before an audience of about 200 people.
The ceremony started with the Star Spangled Banner sung by Cabell County Prosecuting Attorney Chris Chiles and Emeritus Grand Captain General Jule Huffman A history of the flag was presented by Chris Chiles with the start of the first flag at Bunker Hill to the present American Flag being brought out to view.
Jule Huffman gave a response with an excellent oration about the American Flag and what it meant. This was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance by all in attendance.
George Sinkewitz, Department Commander from the American Legion Department of West Virginia was the guest speaker.
Members from Huntington Commandery No. 9 Knights Templar assisted with the ceremony.
The Flag Day Service was educational and up lifting for Americans.
