Free Stimulus Return Sites Needed

Huntington, WV (HNN) – The Southwest EITC / Asset Building Coalition (formerly Southwest EITC Coalition) will file free economic stimulus returns for older adults and veterans in Cabell, Wayne, Lincoln, and Mason counties in WV.
 
Recent data show that there are nearly 50,000 people in West Virginia who still need to file. The following indicates the number of people per county who have not yet filed their economic stimulus return: Cabell County – 2,377, Lincoln County – 743, Mason County – 687, Wayne County – 1,342.
 
The Southwest EITC/Asset Building Coalition will create roving sites that target these individuals. All volunteers, advertising and supplies, including computers will be provided.
 
The coalition is currently seeking locations to host a free stimulus filing site. Organizations and/or agencies interested in being a part of this initiative should contact Michele Sigler by no later than July 23, 2008 at 304.523.8929 ext. 12 or by email at Michele.sigler@unitedwayrivercities.org.
 
Stimulus returns can be filed until October 15th.
