Huntington, WV (HNN) – Members of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) will picket the KFC location, 1325 Hal Greer Blvd., from about 1-4 p.m., according to Jacob A. Jarvis, a Huntington member of the group.

Jarvis became interested in PETA after “my science teacher made our class dissect a frog.” He researched the origin of frogs and eventually came to the PETA website. “Every day I would visit it and read more about animal rights. I felt I had to do something.”

PETA has nationally boycotted the chicken chain due to the chains treatment of chicken’s before they are killed. A video depicts KFC’s supplies stuffing chickens into overcrowded coops, breaking off their beaks, and tossing them through the air like volleyballs.
