Special to Huntingtonnews.net
From a Magic 97.9 press release

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”

Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis will be joined by artists like the Eagles, Whitney Houston, Amy Grant, John Lennon, Gloria Estefan, Celine Dion, Josh Groban, and many other favorite artists of yesterday and today to make this Christmas like no other ever experienced in the history of the Tri-State area.

Starting Friday, Nov. 21, at 8:45am, Magic 97.9 will kick-off 24 hours of all Christmas music. According to J.B Miller, Program Director of Magic 97.9, “We’re pleased to be the Tri- State’s only Christmas Music Station with weeks of nothing but the most popular Christmas music for Tri-State area radio listeners.”

“You’ll enjoy the cream of the crop when it comes to Christmas music,” Miller said. “Artists like Bruce Springsteen, the Beach Boys, Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Air Supply will be mixed with artists such as Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick, Jr., and Nat King Cole.”

“Listeners will enjoy 52 minutes of Christmas music every hour during the holiday season,” says Miller. “Egg Nog, holiday shopping, wrapping presents and the only radio station featuring nothing but the best Christmas music; Christmas 2008 couldn’t get any better!””

This will be Magic 97.9’s 3rd season of the All Christmas Format and based on listener response and Arbitron ratings; it continues to be one of Magic 97.9’s biggest months of the year.
