Starlight Cinema Presented This Weekend

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Big Sandy Superstore Arena presents Starlight Cinema, sponsored by St. Mary’s Medical Center, this Friday and Saturday, June 19-20, 2009 in Harris Riverfront Park. Harris Riverfront is transformed into a gigantic outdoor movie theatre with the showing of Kung Fu Panda on Friday and He’s Just Not That Into You on Saturday.
Showing Friday night, Kung Fu Panda. The animated film stars the voice of Jack Black as the panda, Po, along with the voices of Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, David Cross, Randall Duk Kim, James Hong and Jackie Chan. Set in ancient China, the plot revolves around a bumbling panda who aspires to be a kung fu master. After a much-feared warrior is prophesied to escape from prison, Po is foretold to be the Dragon Warrior, much to his shock and surprise, as well as the chagrin of the resident kung fu warriors. Kung Fu Panda is rated PG.
On Saturday, He's Just Not That Into You is a romantic comedy, based on the self-help book of the same name by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo, which was based on a line of dialogue in ever popular HBO series Sex and the City. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, Jennifer Connelly, Ginnifer Goodwin, Kevin Connolly, and Bradley Cooper. He's Just Not That Into You is rated PG-13.
Starlight Cinema is sponsored by St. Mary’s Medical Center. Media partners are WKEE-FM, WTCR-FM, the Herald-Dispatch and WOWK 13.
Concessions are available since not coolers, outside food or beverages are permitted. Starlight Cinema is an alcohol-free event. No pets are permitted in the park also.
Admission is free with a ticket available at the following sponsors: Big Sandy Superstore Arena, the Herald-Dispatch, and two Big Sandy Superstore locations; Chesapeake and Ashland.
Gates open at 7:30pm and movies start at dusk. On Friday and Saturday, inflatables will be available for children to ride from 7:30 to 9:00pm.
