Local Radio, TV celebrity Tim Throckmorton to Hold Book Launch Party

Huntington, WV (HNN) - A local radio and television celebrity will be hosting a special book signing /launch party this Saturday, June 20, at Borders book store in the Huntington Mall, Barboursville, WV. Local pastor Tim Throckmorton, a columnist for a number of area newspapers, host of Tri-State Celebration for Daystar Television's local affiliate, in Ashland, Kentucky, and Saturday morning radio show anchor on WOKE 98.3 Joy-FM, will be celebrating the release of his first book.
The inspirational title, You Bought The Book, You Name It, is published by Logan Publishing House, of Chapmanville, WV. According to Throckmorton, the project represents a special collection of his most popular holiday writings. Besides being inspiring in nature, many of the stories are described as lighthearted and humorous.
"Humor is really one of the ways I have always tried attract the reader to what I have to say," Throckmorton said. In addition to his role as an area pastor, he has also used his pen to minister to readers from all walks of life.
Tim and his wife, Terri, pastor the Plymouth Heights Church of the Nazarene, a growing church on the banks of the Ohio River. He also serves the district church as Central Ohio District Ministry Credentials Board Secretary, Central Ohio District Advisory Board, and District Secretary for the Central Ohio District. He is the vice chair of the Facility Governing Board at Star Community Justice Center, in Franklin Furnace. With a deep love for the Lord and his family, Tim desires to be a faithful communicator of the Gospel and the message of heart holiness.
"Tim is an encourager, making people laugh while effectively communicating the Word of God," said Publisher Keith Davis. "We are pleased to be involved with this new book."
Throckmorton will be on hand to sign copies of the book and welcome guests between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. during the Saturday celebration. Autographed copies of Throckmorton’s book may be purchased at the event.
