Local Volunteers Work to Help Ronald McDonald House, Promote Healthcare Reform

Huntington, WV (HNN) – Local volunteers will be hard at work in Huntington on Saturday June 27 as a part of the National Health Care Day of Service.
 
From 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., supporters of President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform agenda will collect snack food, canned food, office supplies, toiletries, and umbrellas to support the Ronald McDonald House in Huntington. Donations will be taken by volunteers at a collection site in the parking lot of the McDonald’s restaurant on Hal Greer Boulevard.
 
By conducting this community service activity, organizers hope to meet a need in the community while promoting=2 0action toward meaningful healthcare reform.
