Volunteers Needed for U.S. Youth Soccer Tourney

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- Volunteers will be needed to help in all aspects when the U.S. Youth Soccer Region I Championships is hosted in Barboursville, WV. About 272 soccer teams from 13 states will compete against each other during the six-day event that begins July 2. Among the states represented include New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Maine, Maryland, West Virginia and Delaware.
Approximately 4,000 players will compete in the event with an estimated 10,000 parents, coaches and referees to join them. This is the first of a two-year agreement to have the tournament in the region. Hotel rooms from Ashland to Charleston have been reserved for the soccer teams.
