Ohio Fire Marshal Investigating Chesapeake House Fire

Chesapeake, OH (HNN) --The Division of State Fire Marshal is continuing its investigation of a morning house fire in Chesapeake. At this time, the cause of the fire remains undetermined. However, because of the circumstances, investigators are looking into the possibility that the fire was intentionally set.
The incident was reported at 10:45 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2009 by employees at nearby business who spotted the fire. No one was injured.
A State Fire Marshal investigator who was in the area working on another case was able to respond within one minute. After checking to make sure no one was in the home, he began photographing and documenting the fire scene as it was happening.
The home has been abandoned for some time and no utilities were active inside the home (gas/electric).
Investigators are seeking information who may have seen anything out of the ordinary. 800-589-2728
