Huntington, WV (HNN) – As City Council awaits an interpretation of a critical financial audit, Mayor Kim Wolfe’s office has provided HNN with a list of 2008 priority paving projects. The administration and council worked to ensure that each council district of the city received one or more projects.
On 11th Avenue, a portion of the road will be excavated to determine the location of trolley rails. Some community members would prefer that the brick streets be retained and this investigation will help provide feasibility clues.
During a City Hall ceremony, David Rowsey and Jacob Felix of Huntington and H. Eric Naumann of Bluefield took their oaths as probationary newly hired police officers. They must now complete a 16-week training course at the W.Va. State Police Academy.
