Huntington, WV (HNN) -- The Marshall University Homecoming Parade featured former NFL standout Troy Brown as the grand parade marshal that started at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena and ended at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Thursday evening, Oct. 1.
The parade also had Huntington Mayor Kim Wolfe, Miss West Virginia USA, Jessi Pierson; high school bands, homecoming queen and king candidates, fire departments, trucks, cars, floats, and many Marshall organizations. Many were decorated with a Marshall theme.
The parade that went up Fourth Avenue to Marshall, turned at 12th Street then turned on Fifth Avenue where it went east and finished at the football stadium.
A good crowd lined the parade route with many dressed in green. if someone was looking for candy this was a good place to be because plenty of it was thrown out along the parade route to the delight of children.
