Huntington, WV (HNN) – What do a carry out and an adult book store have in common? Both were robbed Saturday night, Oct. 17. West Virginia State Police believe the two robberies are connected.
About 5:55 p.m. a man entered A.B. Video, 3314 Route 60 East, wearing a North Carolina Tarheels hooded sweatshirt and brandished a knife and demanded cash. After making off with a little over fifty bucks, he ran toward Wal-Mart.
Less than four hours later, a man at JC’s Market, 6622 Ohio River Road, asked the price of cigarettes then brandished a knife --- one with a black handle curved at the top --- similar to the one described in the A.B. Video robbery. He told the clerk he’s take “all the cash” along with the cigarettes, then, demanded she stay on the floor behind the counter until he left.
The suspect is believed to be about five foot eight inches tall and he weighs about 150 lbs. At the time he wore a black toboggan, so his hair color is not known.
If you have information that could help find the robber, call the WV State Police at 304-528-5555.
