TIPS to Honor Certified Pharmacy Technicians
Special to Huntingtonnews.net
Huntington, WV (HNN) -- The Tri-State Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (TIPS) will be honoring certified pharmacy technicians Thursday, October 29, with a luncheon in recognition of National Certified Pharmacy Technician Day.
All area certified pharmacy technicians (CPhTs) are invited to attend the luncheon, which will begin at noon.
Ted Hagen, director of admissions, said this event was designed to reward all of the hard work done by CPhTs and to also show appreciation to those pharmacy technicians that already support the TIPS program.
"Both the faculty and students here at TIPS work very closely with CPhTs all over the Tri-State area," he said. "Our students look at CPhTs as their mentors and this is one way for the students to show their appreciation."
The luncheon will take place during orientation of the new pharmacy technician students; giving new students the opportunity to mingle with professionals in their anticipated field of study.
