Huntington, WV (HNN) – Halloween proved to be one of multiple felony arrests for members of the Huntington Police Department and members of the Cabell County Sheriff’s Department, MU Police Department and HPD who responded to a shooting at a Fourth Avenue nightclub.

Based on the dispatch, shots rang out about 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at or near the Eager Beaver/Freaky Tiki nightspots.

A television report indicated that a fight inside turned to shots fired outside.

Larry Hinton, Jr., who was seen with a handgun, has been placed in the Western Regional Jail on felony charges of concealing a dangerous weapon and wanton endangerment.

About 6 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, two Detroit men were arrested in the 500 block of Fourth Avenue following an ongoing lengthy surveillance operation by members of the HPD, including Lt. J.T. Combs. Stephen Jackson and Darryl Laniel-Lewis, both Detroit natives, were charged with possession of crack.

They also had thousands of dollars in their possession. They are now held in the WRJ without bond.

In addition, once was not enough for a former Cabell County magistrate candidate. Amy Daugherty (now Walker) has been charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance. The report states she was in a car outside of a drug house with a known addict.

She’s out on bond.
