Huntington St. Joe Girls Defeat South Point 61-56 to Win Tournament

Huntington, WV (HNN) -- The Huntington St. Joe girl's basketball team won the Huntington Saint Joseph Catholic High School Invitational Basketball Tournament with a 61-56 win over South Point, Ohio on Monday night, Feb. 1 at Veteran's Memorial Field House;
The championship game was scheduled to be played on Saturday. but was moved to Monday because of snow.
South Point was trying to make it a clean sweep of top ranked West Virginia teams after wins over Huntington High fourth in class AAA and Scott second in Class AA. St Joe is ranked one in Class A.
The basketball game lived up to the expectations with a a lot of cheering fans adding to the atmosphere.
In celebration of the win St Joe students were expecting to get a day off from school.
