Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted For Huntington

Huntington, WV (HNN) – West Virginia American Water has lifted a precautionary boil water advisory for Huntington. The specific area affected was 4th Street East to 2nd Street West on 4th Avenue/Washington Avenue and 5th Avenue to 3rd Avenue on 1st Street.
 
The advisory was issued Wednesday because of a water main break. Results of water quality testing have confirmed that water quality meets drinking water standards, and there is no further need to boil water prior to consumption.
 
West Virginia American Water thanks its customers for their patience and cooperation during this event. Customers are encouraged to share this information with other West Virginia American Water customers in the affected area.
