Trombone Quartet Delights Sunday Night Audience

Huntington (HNN) – Marshall University Chambers 10 Concerts
presented "The Sliders," a quartet of trombone players at the
Ritter Park Amphitheatre on Sunday evening, June 12, 2005.

The audience of around 100 got to see an unusual concert presented by only four trombonists. The Sliders played music ranging from classical to popular to jazz and patriotic tunes.
The group's musicians are: Patrick Billups, Matt Murphy, David Shriver and Dr. Michael Stroeher. They played well.
The free concert series continues next Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the amphitheatre -- starting at 7 p.m. with "Bluetrane," an MU faculty jazz ensemble.
