Huntington, WV (HNN) --Many people often put rap music and rock music on two totally different ends of the music world. However, die-hard music fans know that the two can be combined to make its own genre of music.
That is exactly what happens with Tallahassee, Florida based, Presence. After two successful disc that they released on their own the 4-piece signed with Curb Records. Soon after their major label debut, "Rise" was released nationwide and the guys have been touring ever since.
In mid-June the band made a stop in Huntington as part of a last minute add to the tour of up-and-coming rock band, Alston. After seeing the high energy live show that the band processed I decided to bring them some more attention in the state of West Virginia by featuring them on this week's Audio Feedback feature.
At about 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2005, Presence guitarist Dan Fulmer called in from the road to talk with HNN's Brandon Woolum about the tour and the band's first appearance in West Virginia.
The band plans to stay on tour throughout the year touring in support of their "Rise" CD. Their second record will hit store shelves at the beginning of 2006, with the first radio single hitting airwaves in September.
