Hillary Clinton Attending Thursday Rally in Charleston

Huntington, WV (HNN) – As an Indiana cliffhanger unfolds, Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton continues her campaign Thursday, May 8 at 10:15 a.m. at the West Virginia State Capitol in Charleston. Her visit comes during Early Voting in West Virginia with Clinton leading Mountain State polls.
Her visit “Solutions for America” rally in Charleston does not require tickets. However, West Virginians can RSVP at http://www.hillaryclinton.com/charleston.
With his wife in Charleston, President Bill Clinton will be campaigning around the state Thursday too. The former President will be in Philippi, Sutton, Fayetteville, Lewisburg and Mercer County.
Former first daughter, Chelsea Clinton will attend an “Our Economy, Our Future” event at Shepherd University Wednesday, May 7.
“If there was ever a critical time to vote in a primary election, this is it, “ said Kent Carper , President of the Kanawha County Commission. “The eyes of the world are watch to see what W.Va. voters will do. The Mountain State has made the difference in choosing the President before and we can do it again.”
Hinton Mayor Cleo Matthews said, “Hillary Clinton has shown a strong commitment to our state and an understanding of the issues affecting the everyday lives of West Virginians. Now it is time to make our voice heard.”
Clinton still faces an up hill battle in the presidential race with Barack Obama still holding a delegate majority and popular vote majority (unless you count the disqualified Michigan and Florida tallies.
Following the West Virginia primary on Tuesday, May 13, Kentucky follows. Mrs. Clinton hold a poll lead in the Bluegrass State too.
But, she lost North Carolina and as of this report, Indiana has become a cliffhanger.
