Charleston, WV (HNN) – West Virginia Veterans for Obama begins a four day swing through the Mountain State starting with a 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9 press conference in front of the Veteran’s Memorial on the West Virginia State Capitol grounds.
The campaign will stop in Elkins and Clarksburg, as well as Charleston, on Thursday, then move to Fairmont and Morgantown on Friday, Oct. 10, visit Keyser and Charles Town Saturday October 11, and wrap up in Martinsburg on Sunday, October 12.

The veterans will share Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s plans for improving the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical care, fixing the Veterans Benefits Administration, updating the GI Bill, combating homelessness and fighting reservist employment discrimination.
Tincher said, “Obama is the candidate that has and will stand up for the rights of veterans.” Hunter explained, “when veterans get a chance to see and discuss the voting records of [John] McCain and Obama, they will whole heartedly support Barrack Obama for President,” emphasizing that McCain has a record of “voting against veterans’ legislation.”
Calling the 2008 Presidential Election “the most important in my lifetime,” Rear Admiral David Stone said, “We need a President and Commander-in-Chief who has the judgment and vision to deal with the many new challenges we face in an ever changing and dangerous world.”
The specific times and locations of the tour have yet to be announced.
Joining the three above mentioned leaders will be Sen. Oshel Craigo (D-Putnam County), a former state senator and recipient of distinguished West Virginian; John F. Payne, former West Virginia State Commander, Herbert Jones, recipient of the distinguished West Virginia Award for his work on the veterans memorial; and Randall Bare, Marine Corps (Retired) of W.Va.
