Raeses Host Second Conservative Women Conference
By Huntingtonnews.net Staff
Cheat Lake, WV (HNN) -- Approximately 200 conservative women activists gathered at the Greer Mansion on Oct. 17, 2009, hearing from Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyoming) as well as other speakers on a range of national and state issues.
The event also offered the opportunity to recognize the efforts of conservative women activists from across West Virginia by John and Liz Raese. Liz Raese is the President of Conservative Women of West Virginia, and her husband, John, is former Chairman of the WV Republican Party and CEO of Greer Industries, a longtime West Virginia family business with interests in limestone, steel, broadcasting, and tourism.
Alice Click, a conservative activist from Mason County, said that the event was one of the most successful political gatherings she's attended in West Virginia. "What the Raeses are doing by bringing us all together is tremendous. We leave events like this better informed and more motivated to get something done for our families."
