Wayne Comes Back to Defeat South Point 5-4

Wayne (HNN) — The Wayne Pioneers came back in the bottom of sixth inning to win 5-4 over South Point in high school softball on Monday afternoon, April 18, 2005 at Pioneer Field.
South Point came into the game with a 7-1 record and, with their strong batting, appeared to have the advantage. South Point was leading 3-1 in the fourth inning.
Wayne showed they had some strong bats too and came back in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a 5-4 lead. The Pioneer defense and pitcher Chelsea Rutherford held off South Point in the top of the seventh inning for the win.
