In the top of the seventh, Huntington St. Joe looked as if they might come out with a 2-1 victory needing one out to end the game. Boyd County with some strong hitting came back to score three runs and win 4-2 holding off any scoring threat from St. Joe in the bottom of the seventh.

The well played softball game started off on a playable field, but with a steady light rain the field had become slippery and muddy toward the end of the game.

For Huntington St. Joe it was their last home game before entering sectional play next week at Buffalo Putnam. Senior players Jessica Adkins and Karen Ryder were recognized with a special senior ceremony after the game.
