Ritter Park 5K Run Slated for July 9

Huntington (HNN) - If your idea of a great way to start out the day is a nice run in the park, then the Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District has just the event for you. It's the annual Ritter Park 5K Run on Saturday, July 9, 2005.
The race will begin at the 12th Street entrance and wind down the park trail to 5th Street West. At that point, the runners will turn around and make their way back to the park towards the finish line.
Awards will be given out to first, second and third place finishers in each of the 12 age divisions.
There will be drinks, fruit and a free "5k run" tank top for all of the runners. Following the race, the organizers will be giving away several door prizes.
Registration for the race will begin at 7 a.m., and the race will start at 8:30 a.m. There is a $10 fee for all pre– registered runners and a $15 fee for those who register after July 6 or on the day of the run.
