Rain Doesn't Foil Mountain State Titans as They Defeat Pittsburgh Power 14-0

Huntington, WV (HNN)- The Mountain State Titans beat the Pittsburgh Power 14-0 in a monsoon-played football game at A. D. Lewis Community Center Field on Saturday afternoon, July 16, 2005.
The win gives the Titans a perfect 4-0 mark in the Ohio Valley Football League for this year. Emotions ran high on the field and on the sidelines in the intense rivalry.
The game started with rain, then it stopped and before the half ended it started pouring. There were reports that 1.75 inches of rain fell in a 45 minute period.
The devoted fans that did come to the contest got soaked, but they were rewarded with a hard fought football game. They also witnessed the Mountain State Titans as they kept their perfect league-play record.
